So Thankful for Family
Once again we were able to make the trek up to mom and dad’s house for Thanksgiving. It was a quick trip, but full of cousins, aunts and uncles, food, playtime outside, dogs, farm-stuff, and a few more cousins. Here’s a peek:
Fun on the front porch!
Going for a ride on the Chuckwagon in the COLD! While exploring the big barn, parked right next to ‘my’ tractor, we found an outhouse. An outhouse?! Fortunately for you (I suppose) I didn’t have my camera on me!
Since my cousins little boy, Devon, has his birthday right after Thanksgiving, the kids were invited to a little birthday party for him. Afterwards, Aidan had his own party . . . with the puppies! (When I first arrived on scene, the puppy was WEARING the hat. Alas, no pics!)
The guests: Abby and Allie. Poor Millie’s invite must have gotten lost in the mail.
Funny sidenote: Aunt Tina and Aunt Nan’s puppies ran into a field across the road. Aidan came in and told us that “Those dogs just ran into the desert!”
There are no leashes on the farm. THIS is how we walk a dog!
Cuddle time with Mamaw:
Hee hee! I love this one because Mamaw is saying, “Boo!” trying to get the girls to smile!
Snuggle time after Juliet’s bath.
Fun with cousins:
Sweet little cousin-friends!
On Thanksgiving day, someone is very hard at work in the kitchen!
(I don’t want to reveal her identity . . but it looks like she left some evidence behind!)
Caught! Zoey meanwhile is saying, “Get a move on. I’m hungry, people!”
The kids with Aunt Tina!
And here’s where this post takes a left turn. Because at some point someone in the family hijacked my camera. I first noticed that it was missing when all the Bill Clayton cousins were gathered together and I couldn’t find it anywhere. (Speaking of, can someone send me a copy?! Thanks!)
When I got home, I realized that many of the pictures (all the ones below) weren’t taken by me. There was a mystery photographer. Was it little Miss Macy Lynn?
Hmmm. . . .
Nope, not Macy. There she is with Aunt Nan (who, by the way, is making a very funny face at the mystery photographer!)
If Aunt Glenda knows, she isn’t telling!
I’m pretty sure this guy knows the mystery photographer.
Papaw looks like he’s on the verge of a nap. Was he even aware the mystery photographer was on the loose, snapping pictures?
Well, we knew it wasn’t Aunt Shannon. Her pictures are top knotch. No offense, mystery photographer! I think you’re doing a terrific job!
You’re doing really well, in fact! That’s a pretty good shot of Meme!
We’re running out of suspects. Apparently it isn’t Anna Beth or Aidan:
Miss Juliet is too busy being a mommy to her little baby:
And now this person has officially photographed everyone, except . . . .
. . . . HERSELF!
Ha! Great job Raegan!
I am thankful for a time of rest, thankful for family members that made extra trips just to see us, thankful for time to play kanasta with my aunts and grandmother, but above all, thankful for the richness of God’s blessings.
Love the pics! So enjoyed our time that we got to spend together while you all were home. I will try to get our pictures on our computer and send them to you. Love those kids and they are growing so fast. Love you all and miss you already!! Tara
It was so good to see you all!! It was HILARIOUS when Aidan put the birthday hat on the dogs!!!!!
